FRANCO organizes a Community Yard Sale every first Friday of each month, in the Yard by our office at 5, Mark Street – Groendal.

This initiative is linked to our Unemployment Support group and our vision of dignified living. Every previously loved item (donated to us by our regular donors) is sold between R5 and R20 max, ranging from clothes, shoes, home utensils, DVDs, books, etc.

Paid members of our Unemployed Support Group assist in the whole process from stock take, organizing, sorting and pricing while learning valuable trading skills.

Some of our previous members learned the skills and decided to return to their home countries to start small trading businesses. FRANCO is proud of this initiative that is aimed at creating stimulus in our economy, whether the items are bought for personal use or for further retail.

We are always looking for donations of good conditions items that can be sold at our Yard Sale.
